• Design: from sketch to CAD

  If you’ve got an idea, a problem to solve, or a rough sketch, I can turn it into a design that’s ready to fabricate.

  I can help with:

  • Turning your sketch or measurement into a simple drawing.

  • 2D drawings for brackets, plates and small frames.

  • 3D models for more awkward parts and assemblies.

  • Checking clearances, hole positions and material thickness.

  • Making small changes before anything is cut or welded.

Metal fabrication & welding

Fabrication: from steel stock to custom part

Typical fabrication and welding work includes:

• Steel brackets – L-brackets, gusseted brackets, mounting plates.

• Fixing plates for joinery, posts, gates and handrails.

• Workshop brackets, jigs and small frames.

• Gate and fence repairs, hinge plates and posts.

• Repairs on removable parts and equipment.

• One-off parts for trades and small businesses.

Materials:

• Mild steel (main focus).

• Stainless steel and aluminium on suitable jobs.

Installation & on-site work

Installation – fitting what I’ve made

For certain jobs, I can also handle the fitting.

Installation work I can take on:

• Fitting gates and posts that have been fabricated.

• Fitting handrail brackets and plates.

• Fixing brackets and plates to walls, floors or existing steelwork.

• Swapping out damaged brackets or plates for new ones I’ve made.
